Community Service
- Eyeglass recycling. We collect and refurbish old, discarded eyeglasses and hearing aids through the Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers in Falls Church and the Hearing Aid Bank in Arlington. Finished products are distributed locally and overseas to centers of great poverty in developing countries. See map below for drop off centers in the area.
- Bland Music Concert. We participate in an Annual Virginia Lions music scholarship competition for middle and high school students.
- Adopt-a-Highway. Starting in April of 2001, Reston Lions Club has performed bi-annual cleanup of a portion of Sunset Hills Road in Reston, VA as part of the VDOT Adopt-a-Highway Program.
- Stream Cleanup as part of the annual Virginia Waterways Cleanup.
- PediaVision Vision screening for youth in the community.
- Vision, hearing, diabetes, and glaucoma testing for members of the community using the Lions Club Mobile Health Screening Van.
- Tuition scholarships to students with sight or hearing disabilities.
- Sponsorship for the Herndon Community Leo Club
- Support for local students learning English as a second language.

All proceeds from Reston Lions fundraisers go to help the many charities we support including: eye exams and glasses, hearing exams, blindness prevention around the world, sight and hearing care and research, diabetes programs, and others. We offer a variety of fundraisers year round including:
Annual Citrus Sale: The Citrus Sale is held in early December each year from the trailer in the Lake Anne Village Center, Reston, VA
